Wiring 2 speakers in parallel

I wanna check this, because if I wire up wrong vewy baad things will happen

To wire up the 2 speakers, can I hook up one speaker as you normally would if you had a single cab for example, and then just run a wire from the positive terminal of the 'other' speaker to the positive terminal of the 'active' speaker (and repeat for the negative terminal)?

confused?

yep, but remember your total impedance will change

Apart from the impedance change (if spkrs are the same impedance (eg 8 Ohm), two spkrs in llel will give 4 Ohms), also be sure you apply DC voltage, say from a 9V battery to the spkrs and that they both move in the same direction - both push or both pull.
