You little bastard !

Amp gurus
Anyone have a suggestion:

I have ugly distortion / popping / flubbing and cut out with my ashdown little bastard bass tube amp but this only seems to occur if I have the mid control anything but at full

Now this has mid shelving so with the switch down it’s fairly scooped anyway so it doesn’t matter too much to have the mods on full

But at anything under that it gets gnarly and the lower on the pot sweep the worse

Would this likely be a bad pot ? Ie at full the pot isn’t contributing and is essentially bypassed ?

Ok I’ve gone to TOWN on it with contact cleaner and it has made a significant difference.
I think I’ll order a new pot as I reckon the track has some damage to it from what ever toe jam was stuck in there

Common issues. You must have accidentally knocked the "slap switch" to on.

Let the funk be free! 😜
