Re: AC15CC - Any owners out there?
But do you use it?
I mean I have many musical bits I've bought in moments of idiocy, but they are stashed away somewhere and never see the light of day..

Re: AC15CC - Any owners out there?
the question is, what would you really need? i'll just buy a power amp, a light digital power amp. and have a selection of preamps to choose from. that would keep me happy =) like who can really hear a 'tube' amp in a mix with the bunch of below par sound men out there?
i would buy an epi jr.... and put it in a bigger enclosure =) or that lil fender champ amp. and just get external speakers. i cant be bothered moving much these days... and im like 21... what if im 40? i'll probably just pay for roadies... or put my kids to work =p
dont we all buy music stuff that we dont need?! thats just life

Re: AC15CC - Any owners out there?
i sold mine a few months after i got it. why?
because i got an AC30 instead. the AC15CC was awesome, but i needed it louder and with a later breakup, even with the master volume i had to put everything close to max when playing
..and oh, i sold the AC30 too

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Re: AC15CC - Any owners out there?
I had one of those.
For a practice amp, it was very nice.
The stereo chorus was very lush.
However, I never tried to gig with a 51W ss amp....

Re: AC15CC - Any owners out there?
I still have mine and use it basically 60/40 with the TopHat Super Deluxe (60% TopHat). I still love it to pieces and reliability has not been an issue, although I did snap the input jack which required some serious epoxy work. Mine does have the Red Fang speaker so I suspect that has a fair bit to do with my love affair with it.
I find for gigging it is way loud enough...can't believe ayp needed more head room
. Maybe for ultra clean and ultra loud it's not so good...and who needs "clean" anyway...I absolutely love the master/pre volume. I still absolutely dislike the reverb but that's what pedals are for.
With a Strat U2 sounds just fall out of it, and throw an older Gibson in front of it and it brekas up lurvly. I do sometimes A/B it with a 12 watt 6V6 Deluxe and the two tones work togther well. A Tele in the bridge setting provides aggressive woody growly tones.
So, after much abuse and road use I can heartily recommend the AC15CC as a worthy amp.

Re: AC15CC - Any owners out there?
is the top hat deluxe half a vox anyway? a half marshall half vox one? im too lazy to do reasearch atm
i have only played 3 of em, not many tophats i guess. mayb e someone like ryan or martin can chime in?
if someone gave me a vox i wouldnt mind. the only vox i would pay money for is a bass amp. not the small under 65 solid state ones. but a old-ish one. kenstington was it?
hmmm. ok i lie. i would probably buy the vox heritage in mahogony for my living room

Are you drunk?
You're drunk.
That's the only logic I can apply to a response like that....
I will add weight to the Vox Heritage...it is full frontally awesome in every respect.
