After trying the KT77 & EL34L with the band I have settled for the EL 34L at the moment. So I will give them a try for awhile and see how they go after a couple of gigs of use. Thank you to all of you who offered your help, much appreciated. I hope to bring my Traynor blue with the new tubes to the gearfest tommorrow, so you will have chance to hear the real thing.
