I was just in my atic and found a Peavey 112 transtube. Apparently its my dads from his foray into electric guitars. A couple of the knobs dont work very well and the low gain input doesn't go, but apart from that it it seems alright. Is it worth fixing and selling?

Its like this - http://www.polytechnique.fr/eleves/bine ... dit112.jpg

Why don't you keep it if you want a good practice? It's fairly grunty, and alright for rock/metal.

Anything like that is worth fixing and/or selling. You could just sell it on for someone to fix themselves or take it to an amp tech to get a quote on what it needs done.

My guitarist had one before his present Marshall. It was OK, rather bland and unexciting, but with a decent pedal or three in front of it, it was an amp -just not a great one.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...
