They are Marshall Plexi-style pedals marketed as a Foundation overdrive or an Always On type of pedal that imparts that Marshall character to any type of amp IIRC.

That’s what the manual says.

The DLS mk3 was a staple on my board for years, but I just used it like any other drive, and kept my clean boost after it instead of stacking into it as they recommended. Gave me good Marshall crunch when using the Greenstone.

FWIW, I didn’t like the mk2.

That's how I mostly used my one(s); as a drive pedal.

Yeah, I have a soft spot for the Mk1. I think you have my old Hulk Green one IIRC.

Being I sold all my drives and now live with a Revival Drive Custom.....I'd have to say that.

Over priced? Possibly.

Underrated? Definitely!!

So much joy in amp tones!!!
