What POD?
So I'm thinking a POD might be in order. I'm leaning towards the Pocket POD as it's likely to be bedroom use in front of the amp more than anything. Is there any reason to splash the extra for a POD 2.0 instead? It would be that rather than the X3 due to the price.
Also, if I buy the Pocket POD in the US, would I be able to find and use a power supply back here in NZ rather than getting one with the unit in LA?

Re: What POD?
The price of a second hand POD 2.0 is probably around the same as a new pocket POD... isn't it? $200 ish [ballpark range...] for either...

Re: What POD?
if you're going to use it with your amp, get a floor pod or an XT Live. At some point you'll want to use the foot/wah pedal thing.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

If you want a Pocket POD I'm selling mine. It's pretty new. Only selling cuz I bought BG's POD xt.

Re: What POD?
I can get one for US$130, which is about NZ$165 at today's rate, plus I can potentially slide it past the wife with the old "Look what a bargain" routine. Plus it gives me til April to save the dosh. How much would you be looking for?Basket Case wrote:If you want a Pocket POD I'm selling mine. It's pretty new. Only selling cuz I bought BG's POD xt.

Re: What POD?
You have shipping on top of that. I want $180 for mine. They don't come with a power supply but run off a standard Boss-type adaptor.

Re: What POD?
Oops, should have mentioned, we're holidaying there in April, so no shipping, hence the plan to wait til then to buy. That's also why I wondered about using a power supply from here, maybe even a generic power supply rather than the official Line 6 one.Basket Case wrote:You have shipping on top of that. Re: What POD?
I don't think a generic power supply will do the job, can't remember off the top of my head what you need. I know the Voodoo brick I have has dedicated line6 outputs... but don't plan on buying an off the shelf 9v power supply and plugging in.
If you're going to the states anyway, you may as well go the whole hog and get an X3

Re: What POD?
My Podxt has a 9v, ac, 2 amp, Taiwanese made power supply. Looks pretty generic to me. Probably switch mode, though. It's quite chunky looking, so must have a few extra bits in it. HTH.

Re: What POD?
Haha, well, thanks for that. I didn't think they'd be so forthcoming.
