Re: low gain dirt?
The best pedals I've ever had for low gain goodness are:
EHX English Muff'n - this had really nice smooth Voxy tones and got into Plexi territory with the gain cranked.
Blackstar HT Dual- Has two channels with separate gain and volume controls so you can have mild breakup on one channel and a lead tone on the other. Probably overkill for your needs, especially if you already have the high gain thing covered.
MI Audio Blues Boy Deluxe- lots of tweakability.
At the moment I'm using an Xotic BB Preamp for mild dirt. It has a nice full sound.

Good call. They sound great and the switchable clipping is a cool feature. Plus they're gold

Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.
