Pedaltrain Pro
So...I've got a pedaltrain pro with a hardcase, but don't need the hardcase all the time.
Does anyone know if the soft bag is available separately? I Can't seem to find it separately.
It would be good to loose the extra 15kg when I don't need it.

Best thing to do is find someone who will swap, don't think they're available seperately ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
Hd500, or get somebody handy with a sewing machine to knock one up out of canvas....
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
Re: Pedaltrain Pro
Yeah i know how you feel, it's a bloody heavy thing isn't it? As BG states its best to make your own, or maybe buy a backpack that will fit it?

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
Yep, really heavy. My back doesn't always like lifting it in and out of the car.
I want to keep the case and get a bag. Might see if I can find a warwick rockbag that fits.
I don't know if I like my chances with a sewing machine.![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
One of cactus' big black bags should fit it, and they're indestructible!!

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
I had a pro with softcase and my pedals got knocked around quite a bit. Did a few gigs with it over a new years' and promptly retired it for the hardcase version. Which I fairly quickly retired for a PT2 due to the size and weight of the hardcase. As a bandmate put it: 'You royally buttfucked yourself with that thing, didn't ya?'
Moral: make sure your stuff is locked down real good and your cabling is tidied away safely if you're planning on using the pro with the softcase. Even then, you should expect your stuff to get knocked around. It'll be easier if you're the only handler and you place it carefully in transport. Personally I reckon it's not a good choice for the old 'back of the van with everyone else's shit' haulage option.

I suppose that advice would extend to taking it onboard aircraft? At any rate, strange that you can't seem to buy a case separately.Hot_Grits wrote:Personally I reckon it's not a good choice for the old 'back of the van with everyone else's shit' haulage option.

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
It's just me handling it 95% of the time. It's just in my car with my gear.
Anything else and i'll drag out the case.
I searched last night for pedalboard bags, mixer bags, keyboard bags. Pretty much everything I could think of.
The closest was a keyboard bag that had the correct depth and height, but was 300mm wider that the pedaltrain.
The search continues.......

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
Yeah, the softcase's are awesome for carrying it, but it still gets heavy when you got a full pedal board in there. And the fact things get knocked around (cables and knobs...the pedals themselves will survive anything) I'm wanting to upgrade for a PT2 or 3 with hardcase.
Have you weighed it with the case and pedals all up? Cos if it's heavier than my Orange Rockerverb head you can stop whining![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: Pedaltrain Pro
There are small boulders that aren't heavier than your Rockerverb...
I say just man up and deal with the case. It'll protect your pedals better, it's probably actually easier to handle than a bag, and it'll last longer. My pedal hardcase (admittedly less built-like-a-tank than PT cases) has taken a beating since I bought it, I shudder to think what would have happened if I'd had my stuff in a soft bag instead.

It's around 30kg. I've owned amps that weigh the same, but this case just seems to be more of a pain in the arse(or back).
