I remember being told it was mainly due to a lot various models requiring service/warrantee claims....seems those modular ones were the worst culprit.

Bout 7knz new.
I doubt if anyone buys one with thought to reselling it; there are very few on the 2nd hand market in the US. One of these would be a keeper for sure.
I can only wait and see if a 2nd hand one comes up for a reasonable price from Japan.
