yeah starting price is way too cheap, but it looks like he wants 2500 for it, no dodginess in the photos though - the others have been just way obvious fakes, wrong cases, wrong truss rod covers, wrong logos even.

Looks like a gold top version of mine. Note its a 2001. Seems fair dinkum. You'd want to play it though, get a feel for it and all that. I expect it sounds fantastic.

I don't need another one though. My money is put aside for the ASH Custom...

was never really gonna buy it... more interested in what makes a fake obvious I guess.. I mean come on.. me? buy something that's not on a Â½ price sale, or that I can't nail to something else? (that's why I like blondes

Hmmmm.

Slash - hardly if ever uses Gibson stock pickups, and his most famous guitar isn't even a Gibson.

Metallica - LP Studio? Wth. And where are the EMGs?

Billie Joe Armstrong - P90 LP Junior

Zakk Wylde - Maple necked LP.

Page and Allman I *guess* could sneak in, but even so the LP Studio is quite a different beast to a Standard...

Only Trent Reznor actually uses an LP Studio...

I'm sure you're aware that I'm referring to the LP made for him by Chris Derrig(sp?), used in the Appetite era

Personally, the mid 90-s Gibson sig with the snake inlays is my favourite, although I've never seen him actually play one live...

And even his new sig model has Alnico II Pros.
