Cash Converters Score

Post by Jops »

Check out what my fiance bought me from CC yesterday...

Image

$45.00! She knew it was an effects pedal but had know idea what it did, it just looked important! 8)

It's an Ibanez BC-9 Bi-Mode Chorus

Only thing is I don't know what to do with it? Do I put it before the amp or in the loop?

 Um... Well if you hold it up to the light and kind of squint a bit it's a dusty pink hue actually!

And even if I owned a purple pedal it wouldn't mean anything! :x

Would it?

Thanks Tehhaxorr for the advice.

I have three series 9 pedals. I have the (pink) delay, (yellow) flanger and (green) tubescreamer. The Flange is nice, however the delay needs some work.

I think I'm 'chorus challenged'... Tried it at rehearsal last night and it didn't go too well. My knowledge of chorus is so backward that I actually think the chorus on my PX3 sounds better. Maybe I should write a letter to Polar Bear...

Yours faithfully,

Chorus Challenged

Heh nah I'm keeping it, I just need to get it fixed up a bit. The powerjack wobbles about and I'm pretty sure that is the pedal giving me shocks...

Why do want one soo bad? The delay time is very short.

im not really after a long delay.. actually i'm curious to hear how good it is. i used to have a Boss DM-3 and that was a great pedal. apparently, the AD9 is just as good.

You know one of the dismaying things about getting older is how 'normal' all the young folk seem to get - then a pedal this sick looking comes along!!! music still rocks eh!!!
You can't do THAT on stage!

I've got the two knob version, basically, I think it's a good idea to turn everything to zero and then turn them up slowly from there. i run mine with both Speed and Depth set to about 9.00 o'clock. that gives a lovely tone that is quite subtle and fills out a bit of space nicely!
