Yet again GAS has taken over my senses and Ive bought another delightful toy. This time it was a Taylor LKSM - and let me tell you the sound is absolutely magical. I seriously can not put it down... Sleep? Who needs that?

Another fine acoustic on the forum :D

I'm guessing LKSM stands for the Leo Kottke Signature Model?

After seeing this thread I checked out the Taylor website and saw this:

looks pretty cool I reckon, and versatile - from traditional acoustic through to full electric

Ah, nice timing! I thoroughly studied the videos of the T5 development story, and co-incidentally, they're made very much the same way as the acoustic/electric hybrid I'm building for r4nd0m.
It's reassuring to know that my design is independantly similar to one by some guys who really know whats going on inside an acoustic guitar!

That's the one guitar brand (Taylor) Leo has used I've never liked - to my ears it sounds very mundane (he was down here in Wellington giving a concert as part of the 'Great Guitars' a few years back using Taylors and it was really dissapointing - I'd so looked forward to it).

Much prefer the Bozo or his old B45-12 but each to his own and, as long as you are happy, that's all that matters!!
You can't do THAT on stage!
