Him being cancelled is a bit much. In fact, he could have easily sold the business to somebody who isn't a quim and kept his employees with a job.

I would absolutely love to be cancelled like him. And with all this "Fuck you" money, he can double down being an absolute quim without any repercussions.

Sorry, I seem to be in a slightly salty mood this morning!
I'd much rather get Crowther Audio's Hot Cake over a Fulltone OCD.

Had both on my board side-by-side for a long time. OCD was much more versatile. Hotcake overdrive sounded great into a Vox-voiced amp but otherwise was so, so woolly. Still a cool sound

Basically just being a quim.
And now he's punishing his employees for the mob's reaction to his quimness. After all they probably wanted him to shut down - that's what cancelling, means, right?

Not a popular view, and somewhat cringey press-release notwithstanding, I say good on him.

He built a successful business out of nothing and looked after the money he made. Any exit plans he may have had (selling, succession etc) have basically been screwed by absolutely everything in the last few years. If he had sold, we’d probably be calling him a quim for selling out. Part of successful business is having to make the tough calls…..

Agree. Being a business owner doesn’t mean you owe people jobs at all costs.

But a little humility goes a long way.

This. I didn't begrudge a single bit of him winding up his business and doing well out of it. It was all the big-noting and thinly veiled lashing out - displayed a distinct lack of grace and lets you know exactly what kind of a person he probably is.

He seems like a really likable guy, and its great that he showcases other manufacturers pedals on his videos.
As I say, needlessly salty today. I really have nothing against him, but his videos are too long. And I don't like the way his pedals look. So I guess I'm the dick here! :congrats:
Maybe, but you're our dick.

Basically just being a quim.
This is a delightful quote from that article:

“I’ll never buy another Fulltone guitar pedal again,” wrote Ryan Walsh, frontman of Boston indie-rock veterans Hallelujah The Hills. “I’d rather go acoustic, frankly, though the very notion makes me sick. Acoustic. My god.”

Probably had his cowboy boots up on the dining table as he typed the press release 😂

Just found this in my inbox. He emailed me after coming across some tracks I had done. Ironically the tracks he referred to were recorded with my DIY Octavia, I bought an Octafuzz later to replace it.

Had the OCD. Great pedal. Jammed it, sold it. Bought a clone, jammed it, sold it.

He wont be missed, but I cant help but laugh a little at his departing monologue.

I think it's good to be done with the brand when you're done. Better than selling it then have someone else release bullshit products under your name, saw that happen too many times.

I didn't read the initial stuff from the protest etc but I'm sure it's icky.
Mostly I just marveled at what a penis he came across as in the blurb about closing down.
In saying that, I really like my truetone fatboost for single coils nd clean amp i.e surf.
I'm sure there i nothing magical about that pedal and that there are likely many others that could do the same but I have it and it works.

I find it funny people getting prissy after they've bought a product and then threatening the company involved. You've already given them your money.
Also, the guy pointed out that the people looting during the Floyd protests were dirt bags and detrimental to the cause of the protests. Were they not? If it was your business they were looting would you be fine with that?
The guy made a common sense observation and got destroyed for it.
