Epi Dot

Post by Polar Bear »

Kia Ora Kids

The time has come, I need to get two new pickups for the Epi. The neck has bowed and I am going to take it for a fixing, so it's time to get them to drop something good in there.

I want something PAF ish in tone.

What will be my best options? I'm looking at not spending a lot on this, as it isn't my main guitar.

If anyone has a) suggestions b) examples for purchase, let me knwo :)

Cheers PB.

57 Classic pups seem to be the perfect fit for a Dot.

i believe TMG has these on his ES333?

maybe Ash and Darcy may have some suggestions?

57 classics were the 1st thing that jumped to my mind too - they are what will be going in mine if I can ever decide between buying a gibbo or just pimping the epi dot.

They are probably ruled out by "I'm looking at not spending a lot on this" though.

I like your Epi Dot mate. I like it a lot. Ash has a good idea of what fits the 335 tone-wise. Just PM him.

Sky pickups are not bad for the price. They lack a little of the mojo of their more expensive counterparts, but they are less than half the price. I was impressed with the humbucker sized P90 they do.
