Email him back and tell him all Epiphone pickups need the Epiphone stamp....
What a load of Bullshit, some RS numpty showing his ignorance, burstbuckers have no indication of Gibson on them, and my Classic 57's must be Epiphone.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Well the factory standard ones don't, right, as BG has told me before? Is there somewhere I can show this dimwit.

Have a search on the LP Forum, there are usually half a dozen threads about 'unknown' pickups.
I might even have some pics of my Classic 57's and a set of burstbuckers, I'll have a dig around...

BB never had Gibson stamped on them. Only the 490 series did.
Tell him to join up here so we can all have a laugh

Thanks, 1964. I've emailed him back about the lack of stamp etc etc, I'll see what he says.

the above images are not the best examples as the "patent applied for" stickers have scraped off, so bear that in mind also.

you will note how difficult it is to tell the difference between burstbuckers and classic 57's. You need to remove the covers and whip the magnets out, as far as I remember, burstbucker magnets are rough castings and classic 57's are smooth milled magnets.
