Have you got a link to one of the auctions for that pickup?IkeKrull wrote:OK, curiosity and GAS struck me again, so i put a Tonerider 'Rebel 90' humbucker sized P-90 into the neck position of my Schecter, replacing the 'Duncan designed' humbucker.
Damn, what a sound. Just sounds friggin excellent, and a massive shift in frequency response from the humbucker. I can't believe this isn't a more common configuration, the P90 just fills a gap that i didnt even know existed until i put one in my guitar.
I would make a tone clip, but my playing is the suck.
However, for $57, if you were ever P90-curious, this is the way to go!

Re: Tonerider Pickups
I have a donor guitar that I want to put some pickups into to get an early 60s sound. I want a single coil AND a humbucker for clean sounds only. I want something that does a great 'chink' for a humbucker, and is glassy and clean for the singlecoil. Has anyone had any experience with their range for these sounds?

Re: Tonerider Pickups
There are some new Seymour with a blade and a P90 all in one...so you get three basic combinations and mega alternative ones. Blade for single coil, P90 for, ah, P90 and together for a humbucker. Going from some users experiences they seem to pretty good.Clarky wrote:I have a donor guitar that I want to put some pickups into to get an early 60s sound. For real glassy tho one needs true Strat style I think...Lace Sensors do glassy very well...

Re: Tonerider Pickups
I chucked some Tonerider City Limits in my MIA strat about a year or more ago and they are good pickups - heaps better than the standard Fender ones that were in it. The bridge pu in particular is quite hot with a really tele sorta bite.
