Did you get the Mini Mod one? They've got a couple of dists and an OD in the bigger boxes.slowfingers wrote:My Modtone distortion's like the Happy Hooker on half price day. Cheap'n'cheerfulhamo wrote: 35% off Modtone!

Re: Distortion Guidance.
Yeah. Got the little tapered green one. First Distortion box I've ever owned; I'm more of an OD guy. It was too cheap not to grab it and have a play (Thanks Ryan!). I know I like the Pinnacle but it's expensive and I don't have much call for EVH tone.hamo wrote:Did you get the Mini Mod one? The Minimod's great bang for buck and no one trick pony either. Low distortion settings give your tone a nice layer of grease, it's a good OD booster with the volume on full and distortion off and diming everything is just plain raucous. Running it dimed into a dimed Dirty Little Secret gave a lead tone that reminded me of a 70's Moog Synthesiser sound.
About this time the cat walked past and gave me a "What the fuck are you doing?" look.

Absolutely! I'm now thinking of getting a chorus so I can get with the 80's thing.BG wrote:Hey, welcome to the 70'sslowfingers wrote: The Minimod's great bang for buck and no one trick pony either. Re: Distortion Guidance.
I had the Pinnacle 2 RI and it was awesome and it is my first option nexrt time I need another distortion pedal (Pod covers all requirements atm). It does do an EVH type tone well but is capable of much more than that. Vorbis grabbed it and said something about the wide range of different tones he is managing to get from it. After a quick test of the different settings I just left it on my fav tone, so perhaps he might be able to chime in with some description of what it can do and what the range of tones are. I was very impressed with it though.slowfingers wrote:I know I like the Pinnacle but it's expensive and I don't have much call for EVH tone.

I'm still puzzled by when playing tele & slide the cat comes mooching around checking it out. Unsure if she is looking for the off switch or digs it.Hot_Grits wrote:I miss the creative guidance of the housecat.hamo wrote:slowfingers wrote:About this time the cat walked past and gave me a "What the fuck are you doing?" look.
