voltage regulator

Post by higainer »

I was looking into getting a voltage regulator & the Furman P-1400AR ticks all the boxes plus its also a power conditioner 8)

It looks great until I saw the PRICE.....AU $2199   :(

I'm basically starting to build a rack, have the pre & poweramps sussed, scored a furman power cond cheap off TradeMe.
Its such a pity the P-1400AR is so expensive because it would have killed two birds with one stone, plus its rackmountable.

I guess I'll just keep the cheap power cond & hunt around the hifi stores for a volt regulator that isn't rackmountable.

Anyone know of any go to places for this stuff?

A decent UPS might be worth looking into, you could keep playing if the power went out too

Uninterruptible Power Supply, common in the IT world, it's a regulated and filtered inverted supply for equipment with battery backup, nice clean power :)

Depends what you mean by 'sell'.

If you mean offering the products at extremely high prices then yes, but if what you were asking implies customers actually paying for the products, then...

if highgainer is building a rack system though, would it be a safe assumption it'll be on wheels anyway? if so then a small UPS with a single or dual 7AH battery wouldn't add that much pita...

Im not sure all UPS units have a line conditioner in them.. Might pay just to dig and check it all out.. What about one from the USA or UK? Any better price?
