Guitar effects in series and parallel. Opinions?

Post by Sabbath Bloody Sabbath »

So I found myself gassing on true bypass loopers and I see there are options of having some loops that have the possibility of being either series or parallel. The major benefit I can see for myself is having my delay and reverb in parallel so they cant 'hear each other'. Does anyone run theirs like this (or maybe two delays or a phaser and overdrive etc)? Is it better? Less muddy? or just a preference thing? I normally have my delay before my reverb anyway as the idea of the reverberation of the echos more appealing but am keen to try parallel operation...

Wanted to try some parallel effects for ages but never had the chance, also keen to hear opinions of people who have experimented.
Ok I got rid of my Foal quote, but I found a new one.

Wow, there really is no one who has tried this? That just makes me even more curious to go where (very few it seems) have gone before

On the face of it until you gas on one and then you actually realise just what they can do for ya
