I started writing a blog today and posted a detailed walk through of how I write songs. I hope it's helpful for someone!

Good stuff Sam. There's some very useful thoughts in there. Particularly the parts about giving a song a decent gestation period and the finishing/pre-production process.

Nicely worded Sam, a well-thought perspective on the songwriting process, something I've always struggled a little with in an organised fashion; I've usually gone down the avenue of sending a Youtube demo to bandmates a week or two before and asking them to add their 2c, which seems to work well enough for my purposes. Good to hear about the process start -> finish.
