Haha. Love the Tshirt.
I guessed them all correctly too! (Suprised myself!)
Pretty close, but being familiar with a 5150 helped me determine the difference that the Axe FX imparted, and so I could guess the other two as well. Pretty fucking hard to do with all the bass and drums going on though.

Agreed; quite well reasoned.Kev77 wrote:he seems like a balanced thoughtful fellow
I thought all the clips sounded the same... that was the gag, right?
Haters in 3...2...1...
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

What a complete load of bollocks. High gain chug is usually where amps sims do best. Sounding and feeling like an overdriven tube amp and the Plexi, JCM 800, etc crunch is where i have always thought they are lacking. I also notice the majority of AxeFX fanboyz are the dropped tuning brootalz types.

Re: AxeFX II vs The Real Deal
Interestingly my clean tones were better on the axe than any other amp i had previously owned. LolEruera wrote:Interestingly, it's very hard to get a good clean out of the AFX2. Even the twin reverb model is very broken!
Funny how that "perspective reality" thing works haha

Not when it comes to their artist register.Aquila Rossa wrote:dick head producer in the video wrote:most amp sims fall apart when it comes to high gain rhythm parts

Re: AxeFX II vs The Real Deal
I finally got the chance to listen to this and I have to say the real amp won out in my opinion every time, but really only because it was back-to-back tests. I noticed with the original Axe FX and seems to be the case with the II (although better), the modern high-gain sounds are just too clinical. There is something organic missing.
And sorry AR, but as a "brootz" type myself, the producer is correct. The AFXII is the closest I've heard in terms of modeling a decent modern high-gain, metal rhythm tone, the rest of the market (not including a Kemper, need to hear one of those in person) is quite a bit worse. None of them are 100% and despite the fact that many seem to think 'te brootz' is just winding up the pre-amp gain and a detuned guitar with EMGs, we're just as tone-snobby as the people who drool over London or Divided by 13 amps etc.

The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.
