I’ve decided I quite like a Pearl Jam album “Yield” so as time allows will transcribe the Bass lines

And finish The Cult and STP “Tiny Music”

One of my brothers played me a live version of “Sirens” I have forgotten what album it’s on but a lovely tune

I quite like Pearl Jam , sort of.

Anyway I am practicing playing quarter, triplet and 8th notes in the same bar over a 80bpm swing beat. I can do 1 or 2 in my sleep. Can I do all 3 with any authentic feel?? Struggling but enjoying it. Might be a late Bass night

I have been a bedroom player for too long, I don't know any songs. I know the intro to plenty of songs, I know the verse and chorus of songs, but nothing that is a whole song. So I will take the bits I already know, and learn the rest.

That way, when someone hands me a guitar and asks me to play something, it's not just the intro to Over the Hills and Far Away...

Defeated in round 1, I'm back for another go. The level of fretting hand cramp this causes is my biggest barrier but after a year of occasionally playing around, it's starting to reveal itself. I really want this one under my fingers, it might be my last big jump ever.

If you're at work this week you can borrow mine. Just to be clear though: it's a Strat. Three pickups, not offset, the whole shebang.
