Aspiration

Post by Slowy »

At any given moment, we all have things we play, songs, phrases, whatever. And we play them for different reasons. Some are the things we're currently working on while others are of old acquaintence.

Which are yours?
The old comfy slippers
and the cool new stuff.

I'll start.
Comfy electric: Sultans flavour Dm noodling.
Comfy acoustic: Anything in dropped D

New stuff:
Having a lot of fun with Toto's 'Rosanna' and the Wallflowers 'Angel on my Bike'.

I was expecting a good syringe or overdose story. Will need to rethink and come back later

90% of what I play is trying to arrange band pieces for a single guitar. Currently working on Wicked Game and This Must Be The Place.

Then sometimes I just turn on a bunch of pedals and make noise.

Lol do the pedals work well with Vivaldi?

I've got a nice arrangement for Air on the G String if you want.

Have not tried the pedals with Vivaldi, but with enough heavy distortion and flanger, I might just be able to distract the listener enough so they don't notice all the bum notes :-)

Have not tried to play Air on the G String before, sure please post a link to it :-). Thanks.

Bum notes are a noted side effect of Air on the G String...

Vivaldi often uses pedal bass notes, such as in the Concerto in E minor for Bassoon RV484 and Laudate Pueri RV601.

I'll get my coat.
