On the Hunt for a Stool

Jb, Don't.

Due to age and surgeries, my balance is not what it used to be. I can no longer stand, play and operate a pedalboard simultaneously.

So I intend to sit. On a tallish stool. Something to support my bum so I can fiddle with the board with my good leg without creating an undignified scene.

Size is important, so is portability. Have you got any ideas where I might find such a thing?

You are welcome to try this out. If you like it, it is yours.
Height adjustable, rotates and should fit your bottom size.

It needs a clean and the vinyl is torn at places but other than that does what you are asking for.

These look good? Portable and doubles as a stand when you're not playing.

 JB might not but I will
You know of course what a medical stool is - a bit quishy to sit on.

I have one of those fold up Ibanez ones, sits nicely in my wardrobe folded up, it also has fold out legs so you can use it as a guitar stand too... might be worth a look into?

Mate it's lucky you treat heads; not sure I trust your lower down diagnoses. :wtf:

Legend JB, that's exactly the thing. Now if only the height is right. I still want to be standing rather than sitting just with my bum supported.

That's supported, not plugged. OK Rob?

If you have an adjustable height barstool or similar you could set it at the seat height which is 65cm and see if thats high enough? otherwise some steel extensions could be welded to the legs :-)

What about a double bass seat slowly?

Back rest, foot rest and stool.
