Guitar is great. Current seller, not so much. However, you don't have to like a seller to do a deal with them.
I'm sure I've asked this before, but you didn't get it from Danny did you?
I think I've got that one. Currently valuing it much higher than the market pricing

I don't think it's my old one sorry Slowy 😊

Seeing as how he mentions its on Facebook that's (typically) a hint they'd be open to a deal over there for less than the TM price due to no fees. At $5k he's already eating $500, and that's gonna be around $700 with Ping.

That gives you some wiggle room if you were keen.

GrantB wrote: Mon Aug 19, 2024 8:16 pm I sold three R7's in the last 10 months - two for $4500, and a limited edition aged one for about $7K. All with cases, candy, etc.

I'd say the NZ market rate for a bog standard R7 is therefore $4500.
3 R7s in 10 months??? You should start a store... You could call it 'Gibsons Rock'!
Twas the season for R7 trades.

Two are still on the forum...shy owners :D :shh:
Guilty as charged …. Nice R7 BTW

Just to be pedantic the TM fee on $5K is $395.00. The ping fee on $5K is 97.50. So total wiggle room (i.e. that net's the vendor what they would have got selling on TM via Ping) is $492.50. Then there's the value of an actual offer...

TM fees are very ouchy these days.

Love me a bit of pedantry. Good from you, Mike.

I’d suggest that particular one is an outstanding R7.

A Gibson factory aged R7 (certificate states "Aged"). Some of the best light aging I've seen from Gibson. A very limited run from 2016 that came with the Costa Rica aged case as well.

You were very lucky to get that one. I sold it to Brian expecting to buy it back once he'd sated his curiosity. He then listed it during a period of a few days my email account unbeknown to me had gone belly up so never received my request to have it back. Was somewhat gutted at the time I must confess...
