How did I not know about Matman's $400 Gibson score?
Tbf I don't think I posted about it (I wasn't on the forum very much last year). Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I got it. It's pretty awesome - sounds amazing and covers so many bases soundwise.

I think there were a few "what the...? is that a...?" comments on the day. A great guitar, even without the bargain backstory.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands on fishing equipment he'll use for a bit, then get bored and move onto something else.

Yeah I remember teenage me Wayne's World-ing ("it will be mine, oh yes") over the ads for the MIII in the guitar magazines back in the 80s so as soon as I opened the case the deal was done.

You lucky bugger Ryan amp sounds awesome too!
Thanks Blacko, think I've caught up with all videos now. Its just like being there without me farting lots and drinking way too many kilkenny!

What doesn't come across in the vid is the ridiculous bottom end that amp has, especially when I played my C tuned guitar through it. I've never heard anything else give that amount of low end thump while still staying clear and articulate.

Agreed - it was almost like there was a tight subwoofer tucked away in there somewhere. Small cab too. Impressive

That was probably my fault for stuffing up Capt. Black's sound levels by playing too soft when he was setting them and then asking you to demo it and give it some welly (plus me having tutu'd with the amp settings between then and when you'd played it earlier) so he had to adjust on the fly.

I'd missed that story too! Good to see the deals finding their way to the right people.
If it's from the Dinsdale Dollar Dealers my workmate often picks up deals from there on mispriced items. I'll have to start popping in!
