plus 1 for Red Beach Amplifier Co! Reminds me of Bondi Effects company
how about naming your amp something with a kiwi flavor like Pavlova Pro? Pav Pro?

Something else that I realised when thinking about this was that the Fender Harvard and Princeton were named after universities because they were student models, but you’re pitching this as a ‘pro’ model.
Nothing wrong with that at all but it amused me a bit when I realised that.
Well in my case the Pro is named after the lecturers, not the students.

Good point Ben - if it's a pro model it should definitely be called the 'Taranaki Polytech!'

Bumper instead of Fender
Great minds think alike - I was thinking the exactly the same thing. I didn't post it because I think I offended Mike by saying 'based on' instead of 'inspired by.' So thought better of it

I figure "inspired by" is less litigious.

Based on how good the your Princeton I've got sounds, I think you could stand up in court and confidently say 'improved on the original design'

To date I've built 5x PR clones. They were all "inspired by" the PR AA1164 circuit down to every component value so it would be disingenuous of me to take the credit! The "Otago" however has had design changes from the PR even though it has many similarities. Which PR have you got Danny?

I mean, about 1000 Boutique amp shops are trading on the "we build them like they used to" point of difference and making a few dimes out of it, so gently knocking the flaws out of the PR as well as high handwired quality is worth its own label methinks
