I'm guessing that 500 would be a bargain, and 900 would be steep. There's one at the Downtown Auckland Music Planet and they want a grand for it, which I find a bit preposterous.

Cool amps. Bruce at Mission Amps in Colorado traced the circuit and found that it was a Tweed bassman with a solid state rectifier.

These are great amps - huge voltage though and huge clean volume...the smallest and loudest 50 watts I've ever heard from a tube amp.

I agree with pricing above - $800 is about right for a very clean second hand one. One on TradeMe went about 4 mths ago for about 880 from memory.

I actually thought Bruce designed the amp for Sovtek...he used to do a bit of outsourced amp design for various parties (including Weber).

I guess I shouldnt have too much problem selling it then. Ive had it for over 10 years and it served me well, but now that Im playing bass fulltime, its just gonna sit there.

I could be wrong...but I've seen at least two different schema's of the amp with his name on it....do you know if he's exporting his Aurora's?

Are they worth more than the mig100h and is that just for the head? Just curious because I have a mig100h that I picked up for about 550 with an eminence quad and it's a brilliant amp.
I've been trying to justify you, in the end I will just defy you.

Actually, I think you're right ...Bruno rings a more familiar bell.

vacant, the Mig 50 is probably the most sought after of the three variants they did. They were all good amps for sure - I think the 50 has an extra sweet thang going for it though....just my view. The 100 was a Marshall killer...rip your face volume and could "chug" better than some modern voiced "chug specialists"...reliable as heck too, all of 'em, in spite of some plastic knobs and stuff. The chassis of my Mig50 is thick solid steel plate, maybe ex some decommisioned Russian tank

Seriously, just use it as a bass amp, it would be awesome.

People use guitar heads for bass all the time, its fine as long as you use a bass cab.
