fat blueberries
I have a question. I have a Crowther audio Prunes & Custard, which obviously sounds good. I was wondering though whether the Hotcake Bluesberry would work (or even sound good) with a bass?
I don't really want anything to explode so I'm scared to try.

A bass shouldn't fry a guitar pedal should it? I've put basses through guitar OD pedals before with no trouble. Sounds a bit different, but didn't seem to harm it...
Of course, I haven't proved the negative, so I bow to the wisdom of anyone who actually has blown a pedal like this.

Re: fat blueberries
Most modern hotcakes have convenient jumpers to switch between normal/bluesberry and another to switch between guitar/bass on the circuit board.

Re: fat blueberries
I used to use a hotcake to add a bit of grind to my bass sound. Though I only play clean these days I reckon it was the best sounding bass fuzz I've ever used.
I had a P&C for a while as well, but it never really worked for me.

take off the back cover - you should see two jumpers at the top (under the dials) Left side one is Normal/Bluesberry right hand side one is Guitar/Bass.Pakehendrix wrote:How can I tell if it has the switching thing you speak of?
A jumper switch is three poles with a movable connecter connecting 2 of them. Change the jumper to the other two poles to switch it.

I'm trying to get the blu-tak off but its like rock...

Re: fat blueberries
jumpers on mine were above the blob/card. if you can't see jumpers then I guess your one is too early for this.

Re: fat blueberries
Damn.
Anyone got a newer one to trade for an older one? Mine's in perfect condition, I just want one that I can use for bass.
