Graphic....sorry if this sounds preachy but....OMG
how could anyone imagine that fraud could be legal??

Most corrupt and dishonest acts are illegal...those that aren't should be! Most moral codes agree on basic moral behaviours including:
"Dont Steal"....taking money by fraud is stealing
"Dont bear false witness"...not exactly dont lie, but dont lie where the lie disadvantages another....

This is like theft by downloading...How can people even imagine that its OK to do this?????

Ive edited this twice cos Rog has me paranoid about my typing

Quite interested that the question was only of legality, rather than the lack of ethics involved.

Why wasn't the situation considered from perspective of "How would I feel if I invested my hard earned cash in something advertised to be worth value A only to discover after purchase I'd been mislead and the item is only worth the much lower value B?"???

If you buy a guitar because of the brand name, you are buying on the promise of that brand. Should that guitar be a fake, or part-fake, you are being cheated. You would be a victim of fraud.

My vote? Illegal.
