The Midnight Blues Band - Club Groove, Thursday May 15th

Post by Bg »

Yep, this Thursday night! Kick off is 7-30pm. Come along and see us, we're well overdue a beer and a get together! Entry is free and its a great new venue - scope it out for your own gigs etc. Looking forward to seeing lots of you guys there! Feel free to criticise my vocals, tone, bum notes, amps, loud shirts etc... or to rave about any of the above

The venue is Club Groove located in the Broadway Pub and Grill, 4 Osborne Street, Newmarket, Auckland.

BIG BUMP

In case you don't know, DC had to go to hospital yesterday and is having his appendix out today :( but don't worry, the gigs still on and we have the Strayfalcon himself on guitar - it'll also be the first outing for my FuZzieBro JTM45/Soldano head, so bring earplugs eh ;)

So the details : Broadway Bar & Grill, 4 Osborne Street, Newmarket. Just behind the Rialto complex (its a one way street so don't expect to get down Osborne Street from Khyber Pass, go down the street with the service station on the corner then hang a left, go past the Lone Star fat food place and turn left). There may not be parking outside as its going to be a v.busy night, lots of people coming to see us ;) But there is a couple of car parking buildings nearby (they close at midnight though....)

See you there!

totally apologise to the band. I know I said I'd be there, but the girlfriend was in hospital for a torn achilles tendon.
AFK.

trying to run away. :P

It was a great show. Plenty of grunt from the Amp kings. My ears are still ringing.
I need to get me a blues band to play there on THurs nights.

I promised myself that I would make the effort and go, but commitments at home last night put paid to that. :(

I'll be a starter for next time tho. I'd love to see the band and also put faces to the names of others :-)

I'm back!

Big thanks to BG for prompting me to go to the doc - caught the thing real early and got it out with microsurgery. No great drama.

Bit worried about my job in the MBB now tho.

Good work on the microsurgery dude, hope you're feeling well.

Only one original member left for MBB. Its more like BG fronting a MBB covers band these days ;)

Feeling suspiciously well. Probably gonna crash at some stage.

Hopefully once I wrestle my spot off Adam I can restore some order.

Based on that gig the other night, the only suggestion I could make would be to get louder amps. Two 100wt heads and two 4x12 cab are just not cutting it in that small venue. :P
