Brant Bjork and the Bros w/ Lord Of Tigers

Post by AmpShop »

I'll be in Wellington at Bodega tonight with Lord Of Tigers, we have the distinct pleasure of supporting Brant Bjork, legendary drummer ex-Kyuss and Fu Manchu, fronting his own band Brant Bjork and the Bros http://www.myspace.com/brantbjorkandthebros. Word is the shows so far (Chch etc) have been awesome, his band apparently a hell of a good jam band.

Unfortunately for me, we're flying down, so I can't make it the bi-amped Splawn/65amps/Bogner-o-rama I do at AKL gigs, but I think any 100w head + 4x12 cab + POG should bring a fair amount of noise. Plus, having done the AKL-WGTN drive over 50 times, I probably won't miss it this time around.

If you local guys don't have plans, please come down and support :)

Dammit, I couldn't ditch my (ex) workmates and make it to this. Anyone go along?

Man Ryan - just listened to some of your tracks, real cool. Any gigs in Auckland coming up?

Gutted I'm not in NZ for this, I would 100% have flown down from Aucks to go to the gig.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands on fishing equipment he'll use for a bit, then get bored and move onto something else.

Brant played a 5-string Squire... or Fender with a Squire neck. Odd.
