Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Still you now have to do Hotel ...........your way, damn it would be fun, I used to play that with some guys when I lived in Sydney many years ago...

Edit: Oops off topic BG or Rog will do nasty things so I don't have a strat ....

Haha, thanks everyone for their input.

I think I've decided to go for black, with a deep red pickguard and white pickups/knobs plus a maple neck. Seeing as I'm starting with a black body it will save messing around with paint, I can use some chrome hardware I already have, plus I love maple necks and I love this look. Here's a picture I found on the internet:
