Has to be the Chet Atkins...ALL of the Gretsches he aligned his name to were wickedly cool - even the Super Chet in all it's wierdness had a kitch coolness to it. And think of the original 6120! Wow.

Plus, if you don't like Gretsch you can get a Gibson Chet Atkins (many variants) - his name has been used on a shyte load of instruments.

So yeah, Chet wins through sheer volume and coolness. And he can play like a mofo.

I'll go Zakk Wylde. Even his Epiphones played nicely, although the EMG HZs were disappointing, replacing them would give you one muthafucker of a guitar. 8) The Bullseye V is one of my favourite looking guitars ever.

Disclaimer: I'm not counting the abomination that is the ZV...

Nuno Bettencourt and the Washburn N4. This wasn't just some factory guitar in a fancy finish with someone's signature on it, Nuno, Washburn and Stephen Davies had obviously put some real thought into making one of the finest shredder guitars ever built. One day I will own one.

Although I'd love to have a RR1, it's because the alder asymetical V body gives a unique balance of bass, mids and treble.

Nah, bollocks, I want one because it's Randy's gat.

All in all though, I don't like the sig model concept. It's just a money spinner.
I'd rather spend the extra money people spend on sig models to get a better quality guitar than pay through the nose for phoney sig model qudos.
