Fender Amps go DIGITAL ....

Post by dayl »

I guess it had to happen at some stage. Initial reports sound good and at least interesting with the expected nay sayers slagging it off. My opinion? you cant beat the real thing, even though I have never/may never try these. They are getting closer and closer to the mark with almost every release.

Comes with effects,cab,mic options etc.

I used it on a track on the Rebecca LeHarle ep. We had a rhythm track that needed a touch more sparkle than we initially recorded it with, so I overdubbed a track using the bf deluxe reverb sim. Worked very well.

Overall it's a typical amp sim: some sound better than others. There's some gross stuff and some usable stuff.

Yeah man it's been a long time coming but they're coming! Shouldn't be far away now. The PRS/Waves sim is incredible. Although the tone is still in the fingers. It's just more responsive than any other digital amp sim I've tried.

I reckon they should advertise these digital amps with A/B'd clips of the real thing vs the software
