That Works in Progress thread is getting a bit big, so I'll throw interesting new gats into this thread for 2010.

Ash GT bridge, Suhr DSV/DSV+ pickups into two volumes and a tone with a 5-way switch giving Neck-series/Neck-parallel/Both-HBs/Both-SCs/Bridge-series.
Cedrella body, maple neck with padauk stripes, rosewood fretboard and cedrella headstock face.
Open-grain satin lacquer all over for minimal dampening of resonance. Gotoh tuners, Schaller straplocks

There are two common descriptions: "like mahogany but a bit brighter and airier" and "very much like the real old real mahogany that Gibson used in the '50s, but a lighter colour". Both seem to be pretty much true.Zaulkin wrote:So what does the Cedrella sound like?
