Arsebiscuits! Bass or amp?
My current setup"
Warwick Streamer LX4 (Staying)
Trace Elliot AH250 (Going)
Ashdown 4x10 (Staying)
I'm trying to figure out what's next best course of action, replace the Trace Elliot head with an ashdown abm 500 evo iii,
or keep the trace and buy this MIM Fender
Any thoughts? Random stabs in the dark? I'm stuck.

What will the Ashdown do that the Trace doesn't?
What will the Jazz Bass do that the Streamer doesn't?

Ashdown has an easier eq to use, more power, is lighter, tube pre.ash wrote:What will the Ashdown do that the Trace doesn't?

Jazz has wider string spacing at the bridge than the streamer (fingers can get a bit congested), neck jazz pickup, can be a backup bass.

I'll ban people if there's not a follow-up opinion reversal thread connected to every dither thread.Zaulkin wrote:Moderated by Tony, Sooty and Ed?Jenesis wrote:I vote BG creates a dithering section.

But could you decide who to ban?tonymcbony wrote:I'll ban people if there's not a follow-up opinion reversal thread connected to every dither thread.Zaulkin wrote:Moderated by Tony, Sooty and Ed?Jenesis wrote:I vote BG creates a dithering section.
Or would you ban someone, then unban them to ban someone else?

The main problem would be decided which one of us will do the banning first.
Now help me cease dithering. Ash almost did it with a question.

I have that Ashdown head at church and it is a sweet sounding amp. So I vote for the amp.

That bass isn't a natural finish so get the amp

Re: Arsebiscuits! Bass or amp?
Any bassist without a Fender in their gear lineup is only pretending to be a bassist, so naturally you need a Jazz Bass. As it so happens, I have a '97 Jazz Dlx for sale....
Another amp is just another amp, they all do the same thing and all sound the same in the mix. Waste of money.
