Re: Arsebiscuits! Bass or amp?
how hard is it to get either item?
probably getting a good MIM Jazz
(good as in right for you)
it's probably not to difficult to get a proper Ashdown.
so from an availability perspective get some Jazz

Foal's right - good MUST mean good for YOU. Good for anyone else means jack shit!

I haven't read the whole thread but there's a beaut Japanese Jazz Bass on TM right now which I know the guy is wanting $1500 for but would probably take $1300 or so. It's a really fantastic bass which has had many parts upgraded, would probably beat a US one at this point.

The P's I tried were very good.... spacing can definitely take a bit of getting used to, especially when moving .... but I found it very comfortable standing up.
Standing up to "P"?

I say the Jazz Bass.
You go through electronics like there's no tomorrow, but a good bass stays with you forever.

Damn straight!
The P is NEVER for sale.
I've had to very sadly let a few others go to a better place, but never the P.

While I'm at it, anybody else got an emotional bond with their bass?
