Throw it to the fire (plus giveaway)
Throw It To The Fire (NZ)
In the mail I received the CD single from Throw It To The Fire, having had a couple of recordings with Tod Robertson (Drums & Percussion, Vocals) I was curious to hear more.
TITTF are: Aaron Scott - Bass, Danny Androutsos - Vocal, Lyrics, Gareth Bradley - Guitar & Tod Robertson - Drums & Percussion, Vocals.
Starting with the track 'P.S', it kicks off with a quirky guitar line, slowly building more into a more solid track with an aggressive finish. The thing I like about this track is the progression and variations of the melody, especially around the 2:18 minute mark, a spacey passage prepping for the aggressive grove until the finish. In general I don't listen to this style of music, but I found myself hooked as soon as they kick into overdrive!
Now the second track 'Hard Arrival' is a rocking 2.23 minutes of kick ass!
This song, to me, seems like the band had more fun and has a dirty but tight vibe to it. Guitar hooks, driving bass lines, manic drums and cool vocal lines, I could picture a biker speeding along a state highway in the middle of the desert to this one.
The mix is pretty sweet, the songs catchy and the musicianship is very good. I will be definitely keeping an eye out for TITTF, check 'em out when they hit your town or visit their website http://www.throwittothefire.com
My rating: 7 choppers out of 10.
I have one copy left to give away to who can tell me the user name of the forum member who plays the drums for TITTF.
PM your answer and delivery address to me..... third PM gets it.
