The thought occurs to me that some may be interested in what that quilted maple 'Birdie sounds like.

I had the US LTG friend who bought this for me take it to a fellow LTG member who can play a bit. :!: :!: :!:
I thought it would be nice to hear it used properly, since it will never sound anything like great in my hands !

Here's Pascal, with that guitar .............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUsK2-Ie ... re=related

BTW: LTG=Life's Too Good?
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

NOLSGD (New old lap steel guitar day)

1946 Gibson BR6-B lap steel. The tuners more or less crumbled and turned to dust as soon as I touched them so I'll be buying some Klusons for it early next week (Despite the tuners sucking I have it tuned to Open E and it sounds wonderful) replacement tuners are quote common on these old lap steels, other than that it appears to be all original (I have yet to open it up for a look at the pots).

It's a short scale model, got it on eBay reallllly cheap :) The P90 pickup looks weird and is made of tortiose shell material which is interesting. It's a little different to the P90 that we know and love that is commonly found in SGs and Les Pauls.

That's no P90...

You can get replacement knobs to refurbish the original tuners. Beats drilling extra holes in your vintage guitar.

Posting it here so if it ever gets stolen one day people will recognise it, haha.

Sorry. Can I just apologise for the cruel, callous and heinously offensive nature of my previous post.
