And here she is with her slightly tubbier older sister.

This was a bit of a gamble for me because, while it wasn't much to look at, the Blonde Robin is an amazing guitar to play. I knew I'd miss it but I thought it was worth the risk for this one.
The risk definitely payed off. The photos almost don't do the flame justice. It's stunning. Unplugged it's loud and rings like a bell. Sustain that Nigel Tufnel would get a woody over. The pickups are Rio Grande- Buffalo in the neck (more classic output) and BBQ in the bridge (vintage hot) and they suit this beasty down to the ground. I was a little unsure of the BBQ before I heard them as I never really came to terms with the Genuine Texas that was in the bridge of my other ones but it rules. It sounds huge, unmistakably LP but also a bit like a tele on 'roids. The neck on this thing is farken huge but surprisingly easy on the hands. It doesn't get in the way at all and if anything adds to the resonance. You can actually feel the notes ringing through the neck. I'll post some tone clips when I get a chance but suffice to say I don't think I'll be changing the pups anytime soon (might get Ash to mod them so I can add coil taps at some point but that'd be all).
