20 best amps available today

Post by mr_sooty »

So subjective and as voted by the readers of the magazine, most of whom have probably never owned the amp they voted for, but still an interesting little article to browse through. No Maz 18? epic fail. I've owned number 2 on this list and in my opinion there are many far more worthy contenders out there.

Ive owned 3 of those amps, the AC30C2, Orange AD30 and Blackstar HT40. I also owned an AC15HW which is the same as the AC30HW but quieter

I miss the AD30 the most.

I have two of the AC30C2's... HW was too expensive for me.

If it's all subjective and out of order, what does this mean?

Aw no, they haven't validated your amp by having it on the list.

That list is sponsored ad placement, plain and simple.

List like this are not cool. I'm now busy checking my bank account and working out how long I can go living off 2 minute noodles.

Those Orange Amps do look aweseom. Can someone compare the AD30 to the Vox AC 30 (if you have played both?) in terms of sound difference

the #1 looks god awful. tubes + onboard digital effects? sounds like the worse of both worlds!
