NGD! Vintage V6 strat

Post by head_strong »

Decided I needed a strat in my life so here it is. Been craving something a bit softer than my Italia (twin bucker LP style) and you can never have too much gear right!

Picked this up off trademe for a steal imo (sub $300 and are $600 new), hardly been played (would believe it was new if someone told me).

Very impressed, much nicer build quility than the Vintage LP's that I played last year when I was on the LP hunt. Fairly decent spec as well (Wilkinson hardware, alder body, onepiece maple neck). Neck is gloss but plays like butter.

Pretty pictures (neck is much more yellow in person).

These are truly excellent guitars - I have one myself.

Just to clarify - these are currently going out the door at $479 new (not $600), but at sub-$300 you still got a great deal. Well done!

Agree, the teles look good also, check out Vintage Guitar players page on face book, I have a VS6 in the weathered finish. The strats and tele's look a bit more realistic, similar to a Fender Roadworn (if you like that look, it's not everyone's cup of tea) very tempted by a strat or a Tele from this range, Music Planet have a few on their site but Rockshop are the main supplier. I bought mine from there and then a month later I went in to do something about a new case, I mentioned to the salesman that I was a beginner and mentioned I had bought this SG from them. He said "yeah but lifes too short to learn on a sh..t guitar". I looked at the boss and he was thinking "oh great, bigmouth does it again" thats why I only go in there when I absolutely have to because the sales guys P... me off. I stick to Music Planet ChCh where ever possible.
