I'm keen to change out the stock pickups in my reissue Tele Deluxe, being that they are rather shit and sound nothing like the original '70s WRH. I've been doing a bit of research, and there don't seem to be that many options available. I've checked out the Lollar ones, and another company called The Creamery. I know Fender have redesigned their current ones for the new US made Tele Customs and Thinlines, supposedly making them truer to the originals, but as far as I am aware they're not selling them individually.
Anyone had experience with any of these, or other WRH options? Is there anyone locally who would rewind/reconstruct the stock pickups to original specs?

Re: Wide Range Humbuckers
Ash wound one for Bender a few years ago, but it was a hybrid pickup of some sort, involving Jazzmaster and Strat coils, or similar, I forget the details. If you have something specific in mind I'm sure he could help you figure it out.

Meh. DiMarzio's are better.NZRS_Matt wrote:The Lollar ones are amazing!!!!!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Wide Range Humbuckers
I have the ones from The Creamery. I really like them. There's a good video on YouTube demoing them.
