Hmmm... seems that an awful lot of those prices are the same that they've had for at least a year.

"In a shock move the Rockshop reduces prices to worldwide standards, that's right they are only semi rediculous!"

Of course there is :P

What do/did you think of your DSL401?
Only reason I ask is that I have the same amp.
I find it can't get very clean.. but that could be due to my highoutput pups and perhaps the tubes need replacing :?

I've generally found Marshall's concept of clean to be quite different to Fender's.

Yes - you will surely burn for it - there again the devil has all the best music they say - LOL

I found the concept of saying 'hot' when the RS did not actually reduce the prices amusing - such as the used Fender strat!
You can't do THAT on stage!

My eyes have become open to parallel importing,

and Music Machine

Don't know if the rockshop fits very well into this new arrangement

I love it. I didnt have a problem with the clean channel. i was using a a 490 pickup which isnt that hot. i thought the clean channel sounded warm but not noisy if that makes sense.

I tried a fender princeton amp at a party the other night though and it sounded great. i was pretty pissed though ;)

I always found the 490 498 combo too hot. Swapped all mine out for less power pups.

I have a DSL201, but it doesn't have a clean channel.... just distortion and dirty. Well it is labelled clean, but with anything over bedroom levels and single coils it doesn't do clean.

An old tube Princeton or a solid-state one?
