This Fano (which is way too expensive for me!) is the kind of look I was going for with the cream covers. Might need to drag it behind the car for a bit to get the full effect.

A guy in Tauranga has a Fano he got cheap on Trademe because they're not a name that people knew. P90s. Apparently it's on a never-for-sale list.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Yeah, never played one, but can only imagine. Love the look. And love good P90's (although I've heard plenty of bad P90's).

Something about the full cream look just wasn't working for me. It was almost...too polite. I like it better like this, even though my OCD wants it to match. I tried taking the pickup cover off because I thought a zebra pickup might look good, but the pickup was black underneath. Man getting those HB covers off is a nightmare. I almost melted the pickup in soldering the cover... and then I just put it back on again anyway. It's hard being me sometimes. I need to learn that if something's perfect, it's never a good idea to try and make it 'more' perfect.

I reckon you should take the cover off the humbucker and put strat style cream knobs on it.

Yeah now see that's what I as thinking - or zebra I reckon, but see I really like the sound of this pickup, it's bloody awesome. Another option is a chrome P90 cover.

There's no doubt that 2 P90's would look better, but having a bucker in the bridge rocks. Tonally this guitar is the dogs bollocks.

Decided to try a Chrome P90 cover. Not sure this photo really captures it properly (cloudy day), but I really like this look. It's the first time the guitar has looked 'right' to me. I liked the cream one but just too confused looking...like the guitar didn't know what it was wanting to be. I think the cream would look great if it as 2 P90's, but it aint. The chrome cover ties in better with the bucker and makes the body colour stand out more. I think I've run out of colours to try now.
