A bit improvement on before, that's for certain. Still tweaking the setting with the Splawn a bit, but far happier with the sounds for what I want.Bg wrote:More importantly, how did your esp work out?
And yay for dual volume controls!

Re: Hats off to the Rock Shop!
I have to say the last couple of trips I have made to Welly RS have been great. I dealt with a guy called Chris and both times he managed to sell me a more expensive model of what I was after
First time i went to buy a Mesa TA30 and ended up with a MKV
Then I went to buy a Mexi Tele and end dup with a USA model
Both times though he was really good at letting me have time to dither around and make up my mind.
Both times he went out of his way to contact Matt and get a really good price.
I used to hate going in there a year or so back 'cos of the fat twat that used to annoy/ignore/patronise me but I think he's left. I won't share his name but I'm sure some will remember him.

Btw the guys that are still there at Henderson are all good too. The South African dude (cant remember his name) has always been particularly helpful.

Re: Hats off to the Rock Shop!
Is he a blonde dude who used to work at the Botany store years ago? If so he provided one of the best experiences I've ever had in a Rockshop. It was only a chat about gear and a tyre kick but he was awesome and I still remember it roughly 7 years later!NZRS_Matt wrote:That would be RohanEdwards wrote:Btw the guys that are still there at Henderson are all good too. Re: Hats off to the Rock Shop!
Another thumbs up from me for Chris at the Wellington RS - top bloke. I went in to ask about getting some replacement castors for my cab and he went out the back and gave me a set they had lying around for free. That's ace.

Struggling to think who you are talking about actually.... My struggling memory can't think back that far for anything except guitars hahaha
