Re: Smelly old guitars
Big question, do I refinish back to Olympic white from the iffy red sparkle or accept my inner glitterball
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Re: Smelly old guitars
Tough call, the original paint on the Dual tone models was really quite shoddy at best (I had a '58 which had the bevelled edges and slightly larger body shape, then they went to resoglass in the early '60s at which point it starts to look very different). Keep it as is I reckon.Bg wrote:Big question, do I refinish back to Olympic white from the iffy red sparkle or accept my inner glitterball

So it's, "Here's my smelly 1957 Supro. It's buried under this 2016 paint."Bg wrote:Doesn't look good in the flesh might go sparkle white
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Was that photo taken in your "you're not sleeping with me in that state" room? I keep my gear in the same room here.Bg wrote:Here you go

Fark Beeg, that is a very cool ticket to the club! Even with a dodgy finish. I don't know much about them, but I love the look of those old Supros. There are similar small body models from National - Howlin' Wolf used one, which looks kind of insane given he was a fucking giant!Bg wrote:Here you go

My old one was identical, note the bevelled body edges and larger body than BG's one.Darth Sabbathi wrote:Oh wow, they do look nice in white, don't they?
