Mastering
Can anyone recommend a good mastering engineer? I have an 11 song album that will need "the gravy" in early December.

Re: Mastering
We used Tom Coyne from Sterling Sound.
Amazing job and reasonably well priced.
Check out his discography: http://sterling-sound.com/engineers/tom ... iscography
Lots of pop stuff, but did Karvivool's sound awake and the I Am Giant albums too.

Re: Mastering
Masterdisk in New York did my EP. Sounds awesome, and I'll definitely try and get my album done there too. Closer to home I've had a couple friends use Kog in Auckland and be happy with results. They used to specialise more in Hip Hop I believe, but seem to have branched out. Recently heard an album of Pop/Folky kind of stuff and it sounded good to me. The band was called Looking For Alaska if you want to hear how it sounds

I used Kog for the album of Kids' songs I've got coming out next month. Highly recommend them. The album spans styles from acoustic to surf rock to hip-hip to EDM(ish).SimonHirst wrote:Masterdisk in New York did my EP. Sounds awesome, and I'll definitely try and get my album done there too. Here's a taste (broadcast mix, pre mastering though, so not an example of Kog's work):

There's one song on The Moe Show I really like. Can't think of the title but it's the one where they're arguing over who's Moe's best friend.bender wrote:

Re: Mastering
My wee boy watched it more than he watches me (tells me guitars are boring). Reconised some of the gear there too.
